Why practise 15-minute tests
Most typists slow down after ten minutes as their shoulders tense and concentration drifts. Practising at fifteen minutes trains you to keep an even rhythm right to the end. Keep your posture relaxed, breathe steadily and resist the urge to speed up in bursts.
What speed to aim for
For an 8,000 KDPH data entry test, aim for at least 30 WPM net with 95% accuracy over fifteen minutes. For a 35 WPM test, hold 38 WPM or more for the full time.
