How it works
- 1
Choose your test
Pick English or Hindi, your keyboard layout and a duration — or open your exam's page.
- 2
Type the passage
The timer starts on your first key. Mistakes are highlighted live, like a real exam screen.
- 3
See where to improve
Get net speed, accuracy and a word-by-word list of every mistake you made.
Type Hindi on your normal keyboard
Choose your layout and type — we map each key to Hindi in the browser, including the ि-before-consonant and reph rules of Remington and Kruti Dev. Text is checked letter by letter in Unicode, so matras and conjuncts are scored correctly.
Timed typing tests
From a one-minute sprint to a full ten-minute mock.
Typing lessons
Learn touch typing step by step, in English and Hindi.
Frequently asked questions
How is typing speed calculated?+
Every five characters you type, including spaces, count as one word. Gross WPM is words typed per minute; net WPM subtracts one word per minute for every word left wrong.
Can I type Hindi without a Hindi keyboard?+
Yes. Choose हिंदी and a layout (InScript, Remington Gail or Kruti Dev). The site maps your normal English keyboard to Hindi characters in the browser.
What is a good typing speed for government jobs?+
Most clerical typing tests ask for 30–40 WPM in English and 25–30 WPM in Hindi, with high accuracy. Check the page for your exam.
Is this typing test free?+
Yes. All tests, lessons and practice certificates are free and need no account. Your history is stored only on your own device.
Are the results official?+
No. This is a practice tool. Official typing tests are conducted and evaluated by the recruiting body.
