The Rajasthan High Court conducts recruitment for Junior Judicial Assistants and Clerk Grade II posts in the High Court and in district courts across the state. After the written examination, candidates take a typing test on a computer, usually in both Hindi and English. Rajasthan has a strong tradition of Kruti Dev typing, and many candidates still learn it in local institutes, so this page supports Kruti Dev alongside Remington Gail and InScript.

Two languages, one test day
Rajasthan court recruitments often test both Hindi and English typing. Switching languages on the same day is harder than it sounds: your fingers have to move from Hindi key positions to English ones within minutes. Practise both in the same session at least twice a week so the switch becomes routine.
Speeds around 25 WPM in Hindi and 30 WPM in English are commonly mentioned, but the marking scheme varies from one advertisement to the next.
Legal Hindi of Rajasthan courts
Orders in Rajasthan courts use words like प्रार्थी, अप्रार्थी, पत्रावली, तामील, पेशी and निर्णय. Several of them begin with ि or contain a reph, which are the trickiest keystrokes on Remington layouts. Our legal passages and the Kruti Dev converter let you practise exactly these patterns.
Plan for exam day
- Confirm the font and layout in the notice before your final month of practice.
- Take alternate Hindi and English 10-minute tests in the same sitting.
- Keep a list of words you mistype in each language.
Tips to pass the Rajasthan HC typing test
- In Kruti Dev, practise ि-first words such as किया, लिखित and विधि until they are automatic.
- Do not look at the keyboard when switching from Hindi to English; trust the home row.
- Practise पत्रावली and similar office words that appear in almost every court order.
- Use backspace-off mode now and then, in case corrections are restricted.
- Keep a steady pace; marks are lost faster to errors than to slightly lower speed.
