Under the law relating to the right to information, every public authority is required to designate officers who shall receive requests from citizens and provide the information sought, subject to the exemptions recognised by the statute. A request may be made in writing or through electronic means, and the applicant is not required to give any reason for seeking the information. The officer concerned shall dispose of the request within the period prescribed, either by furnishing the information on payment of the applicable fee or by rejecting it for reasons to be recorded in writing. Where the information sought concerns the life or liberty of a person, the period for response is considerably shorter. If the request pertains to a subject matter more closely connected with another public authority, it shall be transferred to that authority and the applicant shall be informed of such transfer without delay. An order of rejection must state the provision under which the request has been declined, the period within which an appeal may be preferred and the particulars of the appellate authority. Failure to respond within the stipulated time may be treated as a deemed refusal, entitling the applicant to approach the first appellate authority. The appellate authority, after giving the parties an opportunity of being heard, may direct disclosure, uphold the refusal or pass such other order as it considers appropriate. Officers are therefore expected to maintain proper records of every request received, the action taken thereon and the date of communication to the applicant. Delay in the disposal of civil suits is frequently attributed to the routine grant of adjournments. The procedural law permits the court to adjourn the hearing of a suit from time to time if sufficient cause is shown, but it also places limits on how often this may be done. Ordinarily, not more than three adjournments are to be granted to a party during the hearing of a suit, and the court is required to record its reasons whenever an adjournment is allowed. Where an adjournment is sought at the instance of a party, the court may direct …

Practice approximation. The rules below are the commonly published figures and have not yet been verified against the latest official notification (check highcourt.cg.gov.in). Always follow your own notice.

The High Court of Chhattisgarh at Bilaspur recruits Junior Judicial Assistants and similar staff for the High Court and district courts. Typing tests on computer in Hindi and English are part of the selection, and some advertisements also include a longer computer skill test. Hindi is the main working language of the state's subordinate courts, while the High Court uses a great deal of English, so both are worth practising.

Two languages, one goal

Speeds around 25 WPM in Hindi and 30 WPM in English are commonly mentioned. If both are tested, practise them in the same session so switching layouts on the day feels natural.

Check whether your advertisement includes a longer computer test; if it does, add 20-minute sessions to your routine using the More time option.

Court Hindi of Chhattisgarh

Court orders use words like आवेदक, अनावेदक, प्रकरण, साक्षी, पेशी and निर्णय. Several contain conjuncts or the reph, which are the slowest keystrokes for most typists. Our legal passages include this vocabulary so you can build speed on it.

Layouts

  • Unicode tests usually offer InScript and Remington Gail.
  • If you learned Kruti Dev, Remington Gail uses the same key positions.
  • Confirm the layouts in your notice before the final month.

Exam-day checklist

Before the timer starts, check that the correct Hindi layout is selected, that Caps Lock is off, and that the chair height lets your forearms rest level with the keyboard. Read the first line of the passage before typing. If you make a mistake early, keep going rather than stopping; a calm, steady pace almost always produces a better result than a fast start followed by many corrections.

Tips to pass the CG HC typing test

  • Practise Hindi and English back to back at least twice a week.
  • Drill court words with conjuncts until they are automatic.
  • Keep accuracy above 95 percent.
  • Use 20-minute sessions if your notice includes a longer computer test.
  • Check the selected layout on the exam computer before starting.
