Lower Division Clerk and Junior Assistant posts in Rajasthan government departments are filled by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board. After the written stages, candidates take a typing test on computer in Hindi and English, and the result contributes to selection according to the scheme in the notice. With very large numbers of applicants, a strong typing test can decide who makes the final list.

Marks for speed and accuracy
Rajasthan clerical typing tests have traditionally awarded marks according to speed and accuracy rather than simply passing or failing candidates. Every extra word per minute and every avoided error may count. Track your net speed and error count on the progress page and aim to improve both each week.
Speeds around 25 WPM in Hindi and 30 WPM in English are commonly mentioned as minimums, but higher scores help.
Kruti Dev and Unicode
Kruti Dev remains widely used in Rajasthan typing institutes and offices. Check whether your notice specifies Kruti Dev, Unicode or both. This page supports Kruti Dev, Remington Gail and InScript, so you can practise the one you will meet.
Rajasthan office words
- Practise words like राजकीय, कार्यालय, आदेश, स्वीकृति, पत्रांक and दिनांक.
- Include numbers in your practice; office letters are full of reference numbers and dates.
- Alternate Hindi and English tests in the same session.
Managing two tests in one sitting
When both Hindi and English typing are tested on the same day, fatigue and the switch between layouts are the biggest risks. Practise exactly that sequence at home: a full Hindi test, a short break of two or three minutes, then a full English test. Note whether your second test is noticeably weaker. If it is, practise the sequence in reverse order on alternate days, so you are comfortable whichever language comes first on exam day.
Tips to pass the RSSB LDC typing test
- Write down the ten words you mistype most and practise them daily.
- In Kruti Dev, practise numbers and punctuation keys; they differ from English positions.
- Keep accuracy above 95 percent to protect your marks.
- Do at least one full mock test in each language every day in the final month.
- Rest your eyes between tests; long sessions reduce accuracy.
