Why practise 2-minute tests
Small mistakes even out over two minutes, so your net speed here is a fair picture of your normal typing. Use it to work on accuracy: try to finish with no more than two or three wrong words.
What speed to aim for
If you can hold 40 WPM with 95% accuracy for two minutes, you are close to the standard for most English clerical typing tests.
