Why play a typing game?
Long exam-style tests build stamina, but they can feel like hard work. Short, game-style rounds keep practice fun and train a different skill: recognising a word instantly and typing it in one smooth movement. Word Rush starts with short everyday words and ends with capitalised words and punctuation, the same details that trip people up in real typing tests.
Use it as a warm-up before a ten-minute mock test, or as a reward after one. Your best score is kept in this browser, so you can try to beat it each day.
Tips for a high score
- Keep your eyes on the word, not the keyboard.
- Accuracy keeps your streak alive, and streaks are worth more than rushing.
- In level 5, watch for capital letters, commas and apostrophes.
